The 2026 camping season at the Port Lavaca / Matagorda Bay KOA is shaping up to be our biggest and most exciting year yet! Whether you love live music, themed weekends, crafts, or just relaxing by the bay — there’s something special planned for everyone, all year long.
From January through December, our team is filling the calendar with fun activities, themed events, and unique experiences designed to make every stay memorable. While the full schedule will be released soon, here’s a sneak peek at what’s ahead:
Guests can expect their favorite KOA traditions all year long — train rides, Saturday crafts, and plenty of live music and themed weekends. Plus, our seasonal drives for Care Camps, Toys for Tots, and our annual Food Drive will return to help give back to the community.
Start the year celebrating with us during our New Year’s Celebration, followed by cozy winter weekends filled with crafts, s’mores, and live entertainment. February brings family favorites like Galentine’s Weekend, Super Bowl Fun, and our Valentine’s by the Bay celebration.
Spring blossoms with Easter fun, garden parties, and sunny outdoor games — perfect for campers ready to shake off the winter chill.
When summer rolls around, expect weekends full of sunshine, water activities, and plenty of reasons to get outside! From Memorial Day through Labor Day, we’ll have themed weekends featuring poolside games, fishing contests, family competitions, live music, and our unforgettable Fourth of July Fireworks Show lighting up the bay.
Autumn brings cozy vibes and our always-popular Halloween celebrations — with hayrides, trick-or-treating, site decorating contests, and our family-friendly Trunk or Treat open to the community. November weekends will include heartwarming Veterans Day tributes, Friendsgiving feasts, and a little flannel-weather fun.
The holiday season at the Port Lavaca KOA is always a special time. From gingerbread decorating and Christmas crafts to our Salty the Elf daily surprises, we’ll be spreading cheer all December long — all leading up to our New Year’s Celebration by the Bay to welcome 2027 in style!
