Very nice staff and clean place. The only complaint we had was the Hit tub could use a clean up and the step that should help you get into it need to be anything but a black plastic that scorches your feet in the south Texas heat. But that’s a easy fix and not worse lowering the rating for us. We come back without our dog. Can’t take her to the so called beach anyway.

Port Lavaca/ Matagorda KOA provides you with your own little oasis! Literally everything you could want or need is right at your fingertips. They even had a movie night for the kids. Don’t have a RV no problem they have the most adorable cabins or tent to stay in. It’s a little piece of heaven on the bay! I can’t wait for or next trip to Port Lavaca Matagorda KOA!

I’m disappointed because I dropped off my propane tanks for refilling, it was 7 pm and never got refilled I had to go to get my tanks back to install them empty back on my trailer.

My original reservation got canceled at another park last minute due to their power panels going down, resulting in us booking at Koa. That was the best bad news I've ever received because this place was AWESOME!!!!!!! In fact we have already booked another stay next week. The staff was amazing the guest all felt like they had been neighbors for years. Most importantly I felt my family was SAFE!

Never would of thought it would be so dirty. Takes forever to get your yard cut. While paying a good amount of money. Good house keeping but outdoor labor not so good !

At first I felt the KOA was a long way from civilization, but once I set up, I discovered I had all that I needed and found what I wanted a peaceful retreat. The staff was also great, thank you.

The campground was super clean and very well taken care of. There are attendants all over the place taking care of stuff. The location was good...although an hour from Matagorda Beach...a nice place to set up camp. There were tons of kids in the park...lots of activities for them to be apart of. Hunts Brothers pizza is onsite and you can get pizza delivered to your camper!

Very boring way out of the way location. The fence around pickle ball court is just high enough of the ground to let every ball roll out of fenced area! Pool is big enough for 5 people. No lights out water on pier.

Nice park, so many things for the kids and family to do. A lot of great fishing in the area!! Not the best fishing at the park itself but still fun to try but Indianola is near and good fishing and Port O’Connor has several bay fishing charters. Love coming to this KOA

We were hoping to cool down in the pool. Unfortunately, it was very dirty. Not sure if the filtration system wasn’t working. Needless to say, we couldn’t enjoy the pool once we saw how dirty the water was.

Did not get Deluxe Patio nearest “Delux cabin” as per Rez agent. Water activity cycles stymied by nearby concrete upgrade. Offer AM coffee/juice for early risers?

Beautiful waterfront spaces with amazing sunrises. Super clean bathroom facilities, and well stocked store on sight. The beach is crushed oyster shells so bring your water shoes. Lots of clay past the water line too. Watch for snakes-we had a pretty coral snake slither into our sight as we sat outside our last evening. Overall a great RV park.

Over all a very pleasant stay and friendly staff. Could use a little more shaded areas. It would be nice to know ahead of time or at least a sign when lawn care or pool cleaning is being done.

The location is nice however we had issues with the staff support. From our untrained escort (not her fault!) To the reservation mixup to being overcharged and having to repeatedly call and email to not being notified of massive insecticide spraying, we feel this campground did not meet KOA standards. Perhaps with more attention to management and training this could be a great place.

Everything was great, only thing is needed to be mowed, and weed eated around our spot. A water view with patio. I made a tik tok, of the place! It’s getting great views! 10/10 recommended!

It was nice we enjoyed it. Campsites a little too close together but that's to be expected. We rebooked there again for November.

We only stayed one night but it was a lovely campsite. The views of the golf are beautiful. There is still a lot of development going on in this campsite. The pizza was some of the best we have ever had. The wings are good too. We enjoyed the pool. It is a small campground but very accommodating.

Did not meet expectations. Hot tub was personal use size, pool very small. Amenities generally over advertised. However, staff were outstanding. Customer service was excellent. Grounds were kept clean.

We had a great stay at the KOA in Port Lavaca. The view was beautiful, the sites we're wonderful and spacious and we love the private patio. Only criticism is the sink water in one of the bathrooms wasn't working in one of the bathrooms. Other than that, we had a great stay and will return!

Had a wonderful, relaxing time there! Even with several days of rain - still enjoyed it! Quiet, beautiful scenery, lots of options for the kids to have fun! Room between the sites which is nice so we aren't on top of each other. Staff is beyond friendly and helpful! Showers/Restroom were CLEAN and Air Conditioned - tops in my book! Will be coming back to this KOA soon! GREAT EXPERIENCE!

Adults drinking in the pool, at least a dozen, made it very unfriendly. The campground is in the middle of a lot of projects making it a bit rough. Very nice laundry room.

We were in site 136, the view of the water was so relaxing. The extension of the pier with boat docks and a boat ramp will be very nice once completed.

The facility had first rate amenities. Everything was practically brand new. However due to the weather, some were unavailable and it was too muddy. The operators were very friendly and helpful. The only downside was the snack bar/pizza place closed early since it was during the week, even though the facility park appeared to be almost full. We will most certainly visit this park again.

We had a great time. Staff is very friendly and they did a lot of extra events for all who stayed. Resort is very nice but does need more shower/bathrooms.

There was friendly staff and went out of their way to welcome us. The site was bare and construction was ongoing to the waters edge. Great for kids, but not a lot for adults. Pizza at the Cafe was delicious.

The camp was great and they had plenty of activities for the kids to do. The only disappointing part had to do with the parents that don't keep track of their teenage children and let them tear up the volley ball net and other things in the camp. They have signs on the pier for no jumping or swimming from pier but the teens didn't care and there parents just looked on and didn't care. Thanks

Holiday week end but very organized. Sites are great sizes patios and furniture fantastic. Clean store and campground. due to my own physical issues the step into pool was too low for me to safely get in and they do have a handicap chair lift which I declined to use. It was great to see families having such a great Holiday week end.

This was an excellent adventure here at the KOA Holiday. We all caught fish with my youngest Grandson catch the biggest fish on the smallest rod & reel. If it was an experience we'll never forget. 😊
