The staff were very friendly and very helpful in letting us know the local sites and places to visit during our stay in the area! It was a very nice campground to go for short walks to the lookout point and through the park! A very relaxing visit!

Staff always helpful and pleasant. Fix things if a problem. Do upgrades regularly. Close to lake ramp to put in our boat. Nice pool.

We have been at Russell Springs for 4 summers. I’m not happy with the lack of internet service considering we have not good cell service there and are very close to the office. For as much as we pay it should be much better.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I like that the sites were spacious and secluded. I did not like that there was no lake access and I was unable to fish. The Wi-Fi was weak and had limited phone service.

Needs to be updated. Most games in arcade out of order. Put put course run down. Gift shop bare. People were very nice.

If I am to continue to patronize KOA, I will have to be impressed that there is a level of standard that I can rely upon at every KOA no matter the circumstances. Items that are priority for me as an avid camper/traveler are 1. If every customer cannot access wifi, then do not advertise it as an offering. 2.The sites in the whole campground were substandard in appearance.

The only thing I have against this KOA would be some of the camper sites are a little tight and the bathrooms need to be updated. But it's a great little get away with friendly helpful staff.

Thought it would be next to Cumberland Lake. Old campground with very trashy long term campers. Most of the campers looked like no one lived in them. Bathrooms were clean but very old. They have a pool, was not open due to season. Site was unlevel where they put us. There was a better area for short term campers but they put us with the trashy long term ones. The worst KOA we have stayed at.

Always have a great experience when visiting KOA Journey, Russellville, KY. Mike was there to get us checked in & escort us to our site. We had inquired, several weeks in advance, about a ride to the nearby Lake Cumberland Marina. Mike gave us time to set up & picked us up for the short ride to the Marina. We so appreciated him helping us out. Always a great experience staying here.

First time camping in my rv. Pull thru site was perfect. Owner was very welcoming and helpful. Kudos to his staff who were very helpful and friendly. Place is extremely well maintained and clean. Will definitely be back

after paying a premium price to stay, cable and wifi did not work, no one ever in office, no one ever came around to check on us, and you charged us a $25 pet fee but did not tell us there would be a pet fee. Motels charge pet fees not campgrounds. Stayed here 5 or 6 years ago and was much better then. everything worked, no pet fee, and just $27 a night. Hope this is not an example of all KOA's.

This was our last camping weekend for the season. Terrible spot, only one staff member…who was awesome…campground was run down, requested firewood at the store, someone went to get but left it on the ground. We are so used to having very attentive staff at KOAs. Regardless if it’s off season or not, there should always be a certain level of hospitality. Great place for a one night stay/lake

The staff at this KOA were wonderful! Extremely knowledgeable about the area and very friendly, however, this is not a location I would re-visit unless you have plans to rent a boat to see the beautiful lake! My husband and I saw some lake sites by land that weren’t at all interesting enough to return to. If I had to go back, I’d rent a boat. The campground alone had old and run down camp

The wifi doesn't work. Need better coverage. The bathroom was kept very clean and the sites are very well maintained. Overall a great spot close to the lake.

Everyone is always very friendly at this KOA. The only complaint I have is the site we were at was not very level especially for a camper of my size. It was considered a pull through but its more like a pull in then back out which wasnt a big deal. I was worried the site behind us someone would arrive because there isnt much room. However I think they have that blocked off for that reason.

Staff and park was great. The only downside on this trip was that the neighboring lot had three motor vehicles besides one camper. They parked one car onto my lot which really wasn’t right.

Wife and I didn’t adjust our travel time due to time change for where we were coming from. We got to KOA way to early. The associates of KOA were more than glad to accommodate us on our early arrival. They got us checked in and took us to our site and helped us get setup. They were very friend and greatly appreciated everything they done for us. Definitely stay with them again.

This KOA is way off the main road, skinny winding roads to get there with no shoulder. The sites are not level and hard to get into and out of. Big rigs and overnight stays are not recommended. I would never stay at this KOA again nor would I ever recommend it.

We are seven miles off the Cumberland Parkway on beautiful Lake Cumberland. We have pull through sites that accommodate large rigs.

Campground was muddy and nasty, no bath houses, Wifi was horrible and with no cell service, They allow minors (under 16 and Under 10 in some cases on golf carts and they are dangerous, and to top it off, it was to expensive and the office staff was just plain rude!!! we will not be back>

Other camper's comment on our bath houses being incredibly clean. AT and T does have very poor service in this area as they chooses not to pay to use the tower 1/4 mile from us. The cost for this weekend includes payment to the Bluegrass Festival for campers admission.

Due to an unforeseen circumstance at the state park campground where we originally had a reservation, I called the Russell Springs KOA to see if they had an open site. Fortunately, Tanya, the customer service rep., “hooked us up,” and she made our entire stay there delightful. Her recommendations and kindness meant so much to us, and I can honestly say she is the reason I then joined KOA.

Enjoyed the bluegrass music. Host was very nice. Grounds were pleasant. Swim area was nice with a nice game room. The only undesirables notes was the amount of people with open liquor containers and open use of alcohol. Would not consider as family friendly as other places. But noting this bluegrass exhibition was open to out side public entrance at a fee per person.

We love this campground! Owners are friendly and fair to all guests. Quiet and set back away from noises. Our kids love the open play areas. A big plus is the annual bluegrass festival In August. As an older campground, there are improvements that the owners are making annually. Know that there are narrower roads, but the A loop (I think) for overnights are open and all have concrete pads for outdoor living. We use grocery delivery bc Kroger is about 20 minutes away. Dollar General is also about 10 minutes away and there is some good local country kitchen food. If you boat/fish, this is the perfect location and one of the only campgrounds close to a marina. Two launches within approximately 1.5 miles! We've recommended this to so many people, and not a one has been disappointed. Some have brought campers, others have stayed in cabins. Highly recommend!

My wife and I wanted to quick weekend get away to unwind. 5 Stars for the staff, the campground, and location. I was very impressed by how helpful and responsive the office staff was to any question or issue my wife or I had. Outstanding customer service.! The RV site was clean, level, and shaded. The bathrooms and office area was very clean and organized. Would highly recommend this location for any camper, RV, Trailer, or tent! Make sure to find the "Rock House", it is hard to find, but worth the effort. If you need to grab breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the Wells store has the best hamburgers and chicken wings. Highly recommend.
