San Antonio / Alamo KOA Holiday General Information

Sunday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Stop by for camping essentials, snacks, drinks, supplies, souvenirs and assistance during your stay.

Arriving after the Registration Office is closed? Your confirmation email includes important after-hours arrival instructions, including how to access the campground and locate your site or accommodation. We recommend keeping a copy of your confirmation email available when traveling.

RV and Tent Site Check-In: 1:00 p.m. Check-Out: 12:00 p.m. Please plan your arrival and departure accordingly. Early check-in or late check-out may not be available and should be arranged with the Registration Office when possible.

Deluxe and Rustic Cabin Check-In: 4:00 p.m. Check-Out: 12:00 p.m. Please allow time for our team to prepare your cabin before check-in. Early check-in or late check-out may not be available.

Pets are welcome at our campground and in designated Pet-Friendly Cabins. Pets must remain on a leash no longer than 6 feet when outside your RV, cabin or tent. Please clean up after your pet and never leave pets unattended. Pets are not permitted inside campground buildings, the pool area or playground. Aggressive behavior or ongoing disturbances are not permitted. Guests are responsible for their pets and any resulting damage or injury.

For Pet-Friendly Cabins: A maximum of two pets is allowed, with each pet weighing 20 pounds or less.

Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. daily. Please be considerate of other guests by limiting loud or offensive noise during these hours. Generators may not be operated during quiet hours. ATVs and other all-terrain vehicles are not permitted to operate in the campground. Our campground speed limit is 5 mph.

Our outdoor swimming pool is open year-round for registered campground guests. Enjoy a refreshing swim during your San Antonio camping getaway. Pool access is reserved for registered guests, and all posted pool rules must be followed. Pool hours may vary, so please check with the Registration Office for current hours.

Our laundry room is open 24 hours a day and is located behind the Registration Office. The machines are coin-operated, and a change machine is available inside the laundry room. Laundry detergent and dryer sheets are also available for purchase from dispensers using quarters.

Fires must be contained in the fire pits that are at your site. Please check with staff before starting a fire to ensure we are not under fire restrictions.

Enjoy catch-and-release fishing at our on-site fishing pond—no fishing license required. It's a relaxing, family-friendly way to enjoy the outdoors without leaving the campground. Fishing is catch-and-release only. Guests interested in fishing beyond the campground should note that a valid Texas fishing license is required for fishing in Salado Creek.

Bikes and pedal carts are available to rent at the campground for an additional fee. Rental options are available by the half hour or hour, making it easy to explore the campground and enjoy some outdoor family fun. Availability may vary, so check with the Registration Office for current pricing and availability.

Propane tank refills are available on-site at San Antonio / Alamo KOA Holiday. Propane service is available to campground guests and the general public during business hours. Stop by the Registration Office for current service information and pricing.

The VIA bus picks up right outside our campground entrance, providing convenient access to downtown San Antonio attractions including the Alamo and River Walk. Public transportation can be an easy way to explore San Antonio without worrying about downtown traffic and parking. Ask our Registration Office for current route and fare information.

Wi-Fi is available throughout the campground for basic connectivity, including checking email and staying in touch with family and friends. Campground Wi-Fi speeds can vary depending on location, campground occupancy and network demand.

Secure your favorite campsite or cabin with our Site Guarantee for a one-time $25 fee per reservation. When available, the Site Guarantee allows you to lock in a specific site or cabin so you know exactly where you'll stay. Ask about the Site Guarantee when making your reservation.

Our fully fenced 4,000-square-foot dog park gives your four-legged family members room to run and play off-leash. Located within the campground, the dog park is a convenient place for your pup to burn energy and enjoy the camping trip. We welcome responsible pet owners and ask that all guests clean up after their pets.

RV Sites: One RV and one tow/towed vehicle are permitted per site, provided both vehicles fit completely within the site without extending onto the grass or patio.

Cabin and Tent Sites: Vehicle limits vary by site, with a maximum of two vehicles per site. All vehicles must remain within designated parking areas and should not obstruct roads, neighboring sites, grass or patios.

Additional vehicles may require additional fees and may be parked in designated overflow areas. Please contact the Registration Office for applicable fees, directions and availability.

Visitors are welcome at San Antonio / Alamo KOA Holiday for a $10 per person, per day fee. All visitors must register at the Registration Office upon arrival and pay the visitor fee, unless the registered guest they are visiting has already paid the fee on their behalf.

Registered visitors may enjoy the campground's available amenities during their visit. All visitors must follow campground rules and leave the campground by the beginning of quiet hours at 10:00 p.m.

Please note that visitors do not increase the maximum occupancy of a campsite or accommodation. Each site has a maximum number of guests based on the specific site or accommodation. For example, an RV site with a maximum occupancy of six people may not have additional visitors if six registered guests are already staying on the site.

The total number of people at a site, including registered guests and visitors, may not exceed the maximum occupancy for that site. Contact the Registration Office if you have questions about your site's occupancy or visitor limits.

Please place household trash at the end of your site by 10:00 a.m. for campground pickup. Trash should not be left outside overnight. Only normal household camping waste is permitted for pickup; please do not leave furniture, large items, bulky materials or other oversized waste at your site or in our dumpsters.

Dumpsters are also available throughout the campground for your convenience. Please keep your campsite clean and dispose of trash properly to help keep San Antonio / Alamo KOA Holiday clean and enjoyable for everyone.

The speed limit throughout San Antonio / Alamo KOA Holiday is 5 mph. Please drive slowly and carefully throughout the campground and watch for children, pedestrians, cyclists, pets and other campers. Following the posted speed limit helps keep our campground safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Cancellation policies vary by site/accommodation type. Cancellations are subject to a $25 cancellation fee, with deposits subject to forfeiture based on how close the cancellation is to your arrival date.

SPECIAL DEPOSIT AND CANCELLATION REQUIREMENTS IN FEBRUARY FOR THE SAN ANTONIO STOCK SHOW AND RODEO:
Reservations deposit guidelines during the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo in February are as follows: 

• A deposit equal to your entire stay may be charged to your credit card at the time you make your reservation to guarantee you a campsite. 
  
• Your reservation does not guarantee you a specific campsite, unless you have paid the fee for guaranteed site. 
  
• Storage sites are not available during the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo. 
  
• Standard Cancellation Policy in effect until January 31st, 2027.  
  
• A cancellation after January 31, 2027, for any reservation during Rodeo will result in your entire deposit being forfeited. 
  
• Your reservation is changeable up to January 31, 2027. 
  
• Reservation changes made at arrival or after January 31, 2027, may result in any excess deposits to be forfeited.

Welcome to San Antonio / Alamo KOA Holiday, where the Rohde family has been part of the San Antonio camping community for more than 55 years.

The campground was originally built in 1968 by Sterling Rohde's father and uncle along Salado Creek in preparation for HemisFair '68. In 2004, Sterling and Carol Rohde took ownership and began building on that family legacy with a simple goal: to create a campground where guests feel welcome, comfortable and excited to return.

Over the years, Sterling and Carol have continued to invest in the campground, listening to guest feedback and making improvements that enhance the camping experience. Today, they remain actively involved in the property and its future, while General Manager Jeff Clark leads the day to day operations with a focus on hospitality and taking care of our guests.
