Families can enjoy the playground, gaga ball and other outdoor activities, while guests looking for a more relaxing experience can spend time by the pool, walk along the nearby trails or enjoy an afternoon of fishing. Our campground recreation options make it easy to spend a full day enjoying the outdoors before heading back to your RV site, tent site or cabin.
Located along the Salado Creek Greenway, our San Antonio campground gives you direct access to a growing network of paved trails for walking and biking. Bring your own bicycle or rent one from the campground and explore the natural surroundings right outside the park.
Traveling with your four-legged family member? Our 4,000-square-foot fenced dog park gives dogs room to run and play off leash while staying close to their people.
From active adventures to relaxing afternoons, San Antonio / Alamo KOA Holiday gives you plenty of ways to enjoy your camping getaway without ever leaving the campground.
Explore San Antonio / Alamo KOA Holiday and the nearby Salado Creek Greenway on two wheels! Guests can rent adult-size bicycles or pedal carts at the campground for a fun way to get around the park and enjoy the paved hike and bike trail along the east side of the campground.
Our pedal carts are especially popular with families and can be enjoyed by riders age 5 and older. Whether you're taking a leisurely ride around the campground, getting some fresh air or heading out onto the nearby trail, biking is an easy way to add some outdoor fun to your San Antonio camping trip.
Bicycle and pedal cart rentals are available for a fee, with rental times available by the half hour or hour. Stop by the Registration Office for current availability, pricing and rental information.
Bring your own bicycle or e-bike? You can also connect to the Salado Creek Greenway from the campground and explore the surrounding trail system. As always, secure your bicycle or e-bike whenever it is unattended. We recommend using a quality lock and storing your bike in a secure location whenever possible.

Kids can burn off some energy and enjoy outdoor play at the San Antonio / Alamo KOA Holiday playground. Our playground features multiple climbing and play elements that give children plenty of opportunities to run, climb, explore and make new camping friends.
From the climbing structure and slide to the various climbing features and play equipment, there is something to keep kids moving and entertained while the adults relax nearby. It is a great place for children to enjoy some screen-free outdoor time during your San Antonio camping getaway.
The playground is conveniently located within the campground and is available for registered guests to enjoy. Pair some playground time with a swim in our year-round pool, a ride on one of our pedal carts or an afternoon exploring the Salado Creek Greenway.

The pool is OPEN currently until 9:30 pm. Remodeled in 2019, this pool offers a beach style entry for younger children, small fountains, several different entry points and furniture to lounge around and get a tan.
Check out our stocked fishing pond in the campground! The pond is catch and release, worms and other fishing supplies are available for purchase inside our front office. Currently the pond is stocked with Bass, Channel Catfish, Copper Nose Bluegill, and Red Ear Bream. Bring the kids to fish and catch sight of our small turtles and geese that frequently visit the campground.
Located on the east side of the campground you will find the Howard W. Peak Greenway Trail System. This multi-use trail offers stunning views of Salado Creek, surrounded by towering bottomland hardwood trees and natural, flowing springs that run from the adjacent hillside to the creek. The north end of the trail starts at Jack White Park and continues south 7.2 miles to Southside Lions Park. The trail is easy, with running slopes over 5 percent in two locations and several rest spots as the trail progresses through other parks.
No need to walk around the campground when you can get your exercise and see the beautiful surroundings on San Antonio's original River.

Challenge your family and friends to a fast paced game of ping pong in The Hall. Whether you're a casual player or a table tennis champion in the making, it's the perfect indoor activity to cool off, laugh together, and enjoy some friendly competition during your stay.
Jump into one of the campground's most popular kid activities with Gaga Ball. This fast paced game is played inside our octagon pit using a soft rubber ball, where players dodge, strike, and compete to be the last one standing. It's easy to learn, exciting to play, and always full of energy and laughter.

To help keep everyone safe and comfortable, we ask that all pets remain on a leash while outside your campsite, unless they're enjoying some off-leash time in our KampK9® dog park.
