I have never filled out one of these surveys. KOA has everyone's' email yet the reservation change police was not communicated to anyone in advance It is the cooperate option to operate the organization in any manner. I believe a change policy for the advance reservation process could of been implemented satisfactorily with proper notification with an advance change date and a sunset policy

Over priced for tight sites. Sites are, mud, sand, dirt, Loud music, loud voices, drinking, way beyond 12 am from other campers. Unaware of the new reservation policy no one informed us that you need to book way in advance usually when you stay you can book for the following year. Went to do that was already sold out for Halloween 2022.

I would have left and even higher response but they needed to clean the bathrooms more often. It was a sold out Halloween weekend so the bathrooms had heavy use. Toilet paper ran out for more than 12 hours. The floors and sinks were disgusting and felt unsanitary. Other than that it was excellent.

It was sad to know there is new management. This is our 6th year of going at least 3 times a year. Every year we get to hold our spot for next and did not find out until arrival we could not. We lost our spot after 6 years straight. The new staff is unfriendly and honestly done right rude. You will lose a lot of campers!! You have lost us !!!!!

I heard there is new management. I would have to say that the old management was a lot more friendly. One of the workers who greeted me when I checked in was cold and rude. I have been coming here for different seasons (not just the October Halloweeen bash) and I have always felt welcomed. The price you charge compared to State campgrounds, your workers should be very nice and courteous.

New management needs to communicate better you have people that have been coming here for years and not causing any problems for you not to send out a email that booking has changed! the answer that we got was we don't have your number or email and it was against company policy the way it was being run we get emails and text from KOA all the time so you have our numbers

We have been going to this KOA on Halloween for 10+ years.Now that new management took over this year everything has changed the staff has all changed and is less engaging with kids and people less activities.We looked forward to the costume contest ever year.This year there was just a parade.We also notice the facility cleanliness were not as kept up as before.This will unfortunately be it for us

Everything was clean the spaces where nice and wide. All the workers were awesome and very helpful. 1 gal told us where to eat and dam was it delicious. Great way for me and my wife to spend our 1st anniversary together

We stayed in one of the RV sites along the nature preserve and really appreciated the landscape and trees separating the sites. The mature trees throughout the complex help provide many unique spaces and lots of shade. We love the place so much we reserved RV sites and lodges for a future family vacation. There are plenty of friendly staff to assist you & answer questions & keep the grounds clean.

Campers were very angry about the changes in the reservations for next year. Many will NOT be returning. It is clear that the new management is only interested in collecting as much $ as they can as fast as they can. Screw the families.

We have been coming to Santa Cruz/Monterey Bay KOA for 10+ years. Always a great experience. Lots for the kids to do and a friendly staff. Keep up the good work!

It was very strict this year. The mgmt seemed super intense. We used to be able to book our stay for the next year before we left but that is no longer allowed. This results in so many people losing their spots they have had for 10+ years. Plus super strict rules about towing all cars that don't have a parking pass and claiming that the park is at capacity when many spots go unfilled.

We were so happy with the new management! They are working to allow new families to come during holiday weekends. For years it has been the same groups over and over and new visitors were never able to come... now we can! They are also cracking down on rude and dangerous guests who break KOA rules. This is such a great KOA. Can't wait to visit again.

Stay overall was good. I am disappointed that not as many Halloween festivities as the years past. I also am disappointed that families we have camped with for MANY years lost there camping sites for next year.

We have been coming for years to Halloween and we lost our spot to come back next year. We spend a lot of money on candy and decorations. Sorry but left a bad taste and don’t plan on coming back in the near future.

We have been coming for a number of years for the Halloween weekends. The new ownership took over and realized the KOA policies for the “Halloween” weekend weren’t actual policy. I understand completely, my only issue is that an informational email should have been sent out to all. We are now out of a tradition that has been going in for years. Well kept and run facility overall though.

We been coming there for 8 years and never had trouble with our site. For the price that we pay our cable didn't work and the sewer in the ground was full. So we had to move to dump. Also management has changed the reservation system which has ruined our group event.

This KOA has been one of the best KOA campgrounds around until the new management arrived and changed everything. We've been members for over 15 years and this past weekend, we were told that our specific spots (4 RV spots together) that we've had for over 6 years were already taken for next year. We were never given warning of our spots being opened up. Not alot of happy campers here:(

Sites are good sized, clean and tons of activities for the kids. Good customer service, no problems checking in and out. Full hookups. Quiet during the week, but turns into a zoo on the weekends ;) not a lot of space to maneuver a large fifth wheel, but manageable. They do enforce quiet times which is great, but could do without the 9:45pm text reminder when I'm already asleep. Close to ocean.

we had not expected a Halloween party but were pleasantly surprised by the decorations, costumes, and other events. staff was helpful and professional. very clean campground.

We had a wonderful time the weekend before Halloween. The camp provided a full day of activities. All staff was accommodating and welcoming.

We literally had the worst customer service experience EVER…it was shocking to say the least! The general manager, Fred was extremely argumentative, unprofessional, raising his voice (in front our children), and threatening at the front gate within seconds of arriving. Fred is the problem…lacks professionalism, customer service, & empathy. Very sad that my children had to witness this.

From the friendly check in staff to the well stocked store, the amazing play areas, the swimming pool and spa, the wonderfully varied, clean and manicured sites, and the ample space and accommodations for dogs (even a dog washing station!), I was completely impressed! It was the Valhalla of KOAs, the Shangrila of campgrounds, the Apex of family glamping! Wish I could stay for a month!!

We had a fantastic time at this campground. We thought it was great that the campground had weekend Halloween events in October. All of the campers really got into the spirit. It was loads of fun. Definitely recommend you stay here if you are going to go to either Santa Cruz or Monterey

Great family KiOA. Clean with many amenities for the young ones. Nice well stocked store. Staff helpful. Not too near a beach or services. Windy road from highway. Shower rooms not heated. We had an enjoyable stay in mid-October. Not too busy.

I have been camping at this campground for over 30 years. Unfortunately I will not be camping here again. I found a new management to be unfriendly and extremely argumentative with their guests. I have never in all the years I have camped here seen the people banned for life from the campground. I was also Dismayed by the fact that we could no longer reserve our spot for the Halloween weekend.

Unbelievably disappointing! And the reason is we didn’t find out until this weekend, and only from word-of-mouth from other long-time loyal KOA Watsonville Halloween RV campers, that all of our RV spots for next year’s Halloween weekends have been booked! Not one piece of communication from KOA to their LOYAL customers- years we have all been coming here to enjoy these Halloween weekends �Ϫ

The new management has changed things. Some for the good, some for the bad. The bathrooms were not cleaned and on Sunday after everyone checked out they still didn't clean the bathrooms or most of the camp sites. The past management has always been welcoming and friendly, not so now. I was happy that they enforced the quiet hours this time but they did not when I was there earlier this year.

The change in management culture caused us to cancel our upcoming trip. There were many families accused fairly and unfairly of misbehavior and then treated with a no-tolerance heavy hand without conversation or openness to discussion or improvements. There seems to be a goal to remove groups that have been coming for years in the quest to eliminate certain "problem" repeat families at Halloween.

We love this place. I've spent time at many Koa over the years and they are all clean, fun for the kids and so close to Monterey pier and Santa cruz boardwalk. Over the years I've stayed here 5 or 6 times. The only drawback is the price it is very spendy. We pay half the fee at the booking and we save for the rest. Never had any problems with the camp sites or the management I have given it 4 stars, not 5 stars because of the price of the lodging. My favorite Koa is Manchester Beach.
