This was our first time staying at a KOA and it was great. The staff was super friendly, the campground was clean and nice and the rates weren’t that expensive.

Staff was great. Campground was clean and in a great location. Plenty for the kids to do between the pool, park, mini golf and movie night! Would stay here again.

A spot on the river is the only reason I would want to stay here, well, and the super friendly service. I’d like to see new dumpsters designed to really keep the bears out—bears can lift the plastic lids just enough to drag out some garbage, which means they’ll keep returning. I enjoyed an American Dipper family daily, and nesting Bullock’s Orioles. The tent area looks super!

Very clean restrooms. Utilities- water, electric, sewer, cable great. Location and bus transportation very good for Steamboat. $70 with tax a little pricey for a non level site with neighboring picnic table under our dinette. With levelers it would be ok. Only RV park in town though.

Very dog friendly! Unlike a lot of RV parks, this KOA allows you to set up a pen so that your dogs can sit out with you unleashed. At checkin they told us that dogs can be unleashed in pens at our site and that amenity truly made the difference for me as a dog owner. It made our vacation at the KOA so much better. Bring your dogs and enjoy a truly dog friendly atmosphere!

It was great. Quiet and welcoming. Friendly staff. Beautiful flower beds. I would recommend that the tables and chairs be power washed. They are great quality but have tree droppings I couldn’t clean off before using.

We come every summer and have always enjoyed ourselves. This year we only were disturbed with the sound of the leaf blower throughout the whole day, versus once or twice maybe, in the morning or afternoon in one shot. Definitely noticed the noise of it all day long. Also, the internet service was extremely slow. The people grounds and restrooms were fantastic, we will be back!

We love the setting by the river. The bus into downtown Steamboat is a nice amenity. The employees are friendly and helpful. We stay here at least once a year.

We really enjoyed our stay at the KOA Steamboat! Everyone was so friendly and a lot to do on site, plus free bus shuttle to town every 20 minutes! Right on the Yampa river, great place to stay!

Love the space across the river for dog walks. Very peaceful and pretty. Also appreciate the doggie bag of goodies! Cute! Alas, as usual with KOA, the spaces are so tight, we felt like sardines in a can. Nice touches st this park but we usually pass on KOAs because they pack so many rigs in.

Journey was a welcoming soul when we checked in. She made sure we understood all amenities for the campground when we checked in. Everything was so clean and nice. The campground is so well taken care of!

This is one of the best RV campsites we have ever stayed, very nice people and good service in general. Shoutout to Jim who went above and beyond to help us fix the weight distribution hitch retainer and pin! He found a solution to temporarily fix it so that we could get back home and get a perm fix. Thank you Jim, you are a good person and we deeply appreciate your help and hospitality!!

Great staff. Beautiful location. Would have gotten an even high rating except they stuck us in the worst site(#20 bus stop), KOA should never sell this site especially when better sites were available.

Very hospitable and patient and helpful for a couple of newbies! Their shop was well stocked with RV supplies and food items. The grounds/facilities were well maintained, and our dogs loved the little off-leash dog park.

our last KOA, paid for a premium spot with larger site and got the view of the highway with tons of road noise. While the employees site were are in the quite location along the river... campground layout is very poor and can't recommend this KOA

Steamboat KOA has been flexible with our multiple stays. The double-gate dog park is clean (generally) and the pups love it.

Very nice area. Work needs to be accomplished to rate the "Holiday" rating. I realize it's a matter of supply and demand, but odd layout of water and elec hookups at some sites, as well as leveling of others would make the fees seem reasonable. Picnic tables are beat up!

The highway noise was loud. Staff not friendly, had minimal contact but noticed no one smiles, no warm welcome-rules rules rules in a stern manner. Strolling by the river for coffee was great I hope they keep that space open for anyone, but it looks like it’s only for tent camping. Spots were close together. Hot tub could have been opened by mid-May. No or wrong biking info. Convenient location

One of the best KOAs we've ever stayed at. Beautiful location, great staff, clean. And being on the free Steamboat shuttle line is a huge plus for motorhome campers.

We had a GREAT site right on the river! The cabins looked real nice too. A real plus for us was the free bus to take you right in to town!

Don’t care for the facing social areas. We’re 20’ and couldn’t attach both sewer and water, opposite ends of pad. Helpful staff, beautiful area.

The staff was very nice and left us our key for a late check-in. The cabins are quite cozy and you can't beat the price. Very clean.

Great place to winter camp. Super friendly staff and nice clean facilities. Felt very comfortable staying here and letting my kids run free. For people going to the mountain there is a FREE shuttle that comes into the entry every 20 mins. Made it too easy for my family to just hop on the bus and head to the slopes.
